Hola! I'm back from Madrid!

My husband and I just returned from our long weekend in Madrid.  We had a fabulous time!!!  I had hoped to post something last Friday before we left but Blogger was down - sounds like it was a big problem for everyone - anyway, sorry that didn't work out. 

However...many thanks to Tina from Enchanted Home for doing such a fabulous post for me while I was away.  If you didn't already have the travel bug, you certainly will after reading her amazing post!  

And, to the new readers that found my blog via Tina:  WELCOME!

Tina, here are a few spanish roses to "virtually" thank you

for doing such a wonderful job.  :)

I'll have more for you all about Madrid in the coming days once I have caught up a bit, but for now here are a few pictures to whet your appetite. :)

As you might have guessed, I took tons of architecture shots.  I think I

found enough beautiful doors just for a post devoted to that!

We had the good fortune to be visiting during Spain's largest festival, the San Isidro Festival.  More on what all of this is about tomorrow!

We also took a day trip to nearby Toledo.  On a tip from a friendly and helpful shopkeeper, we took a taxi outside of town to a restaurant with this beautiful panoramic view of the city.  We enjoyed a cerveza here and soaked it all up!
